Lyrics

[Verse 1]
We piled in two trucks by the old campus gate
With a cooler in back and no plans to be late
The boys in their colors, boots dusty from town
That brass line came marching and shook the whole ground
[Pre-Chorus]
You could feel every bleacher lean in
When the band hit the fight song again
[Chorus]
Saturday, raise it up, let the whole place roar
Cold beer, big plays, we’re asking for more
Touchdown! Hands high, hear the county sing
Fireworks cracking over everything
With my friends all here and the night wide open
We came for the game, left the whole town smokin’
Saturday, raise it up, let the good times roll
Honky-tonk heart and a stadium soul
[Verse 2]
The cheer squad flashed by with a grin and a wave
The cheer squad flashed by with a grin and a wave
The home side was standing, the visitors brave
Then our quarterback slipped through a hole in the line
He crossed that white stripe and the scoreboard went bright
[Pre-Chorus]
You could feel every bleacher lean in
When the band hit the fight song again
[Chorus]
Saturday, raise it up, let the whole place roar
Cold beer, big plays, we’re asking for more
Touchdown! Hands high, hear the county sing
Fireworks cracking over everything
With my friends all here and the night wide open
We came for the game, left the whole town smokin’
Saturday, raise it up, let the good times roll
Honky-tonk heart and a stadium soul
[Bridge]
Win or lose, we’ve got one more round
That last brass note still shakes downtown
The sky lights up, everybody knows
A night like this is how a legend grows
[Final Chorus]
Saturday, raise it up, let the whole place roar
Cold beer, big plays, we’re asking for more
Touchdown! Hands high, hear the county sing
Fireworks cracking over everything
With my friends all here and the night wide open
We came for the game, left the whole town smokin’
Saturday, raise it up, let the good times roll
Honky-tonk heart and a stadium soul
[Outro]
Touchdown! Let the good times roll
Saturday night, stadium soul
